| | According to expert opinions, Russia's advertising market grew 33 percent to $1.80bn-$1.83 in the first quarter of 2007, compared to the same period a year earlier, the Russian Association of Communication Agencies (RACA) announced. Television has remained the leader in advertising distribution, with $890m-$910m in Q1 2007, a 39.5-percent increase from the same period of 2006. Advertising in print media grew 30 percent to $410m-$430m. Outdoor advertising was third, with $340m-$350m, a 25.3-percent rise on Q1 2006. Radio advertising grew 30 percent to over $95m, while other media's contribution amounted to $20m-$25m, up 50 percent on Q1 2006.
The RACA noted that the internet advertising segment demonstrated the highest rate of increase (65 percent) in Q1 2007, contributing $30m-$35m.
